Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Oct 8, 2007 courtesy of Per - the beer is nervously pouring out of the bottle, trying to escape from a swiss beerhunter; what a hopeless behaviour ! A dark ruby-brown colour and a dark beige head composed of big bubbles; aroma of tea, spices mint and licorice; very sweet, tart and overcarbonated; poor malt body underneath; sweetish and effervescent finish with more notes of licorice and a touch of dust - my first deception from Ölands oh6gdx (5901), Vaasa, Finland Mar 20, 2007 Bottled (Thanks omhper). Very dark brown colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is very sodalike along with caramel and spices. Flavour is leather, juniper, sodalike sweetness. The leatheryness makes it slightly unpleasant, but otherwise it is refreshing. omhper (10454), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 12, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2007Bottled. Near black, very lively head. Aroma of dextrose. Sweet and fruity with plenty of juniper berry flavour. Very light bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Good, but on the sweet side and a bit heavy on the dextrose. ante (2494), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden Mar 9, 2007 Bottled. Black with a rich tan- coloured head. Sweet anf really sharp aroma of juniper with some plastic undertones. Quite sweet flavour of juniper with touches of blueberries and blackberries. Of course it’s light bodied with no bitterness. Notes of sugar and juniper in the short finish. larsniclas (2795), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 12, 2006 [Bottled]
Almost black with no head.
Yes, it tastes juniper-berries! Exactly lika a julmust. Sweet, sweet, sweet...
