Bov (4659), Bienne, Switzerland Apr 17, 2008 courtesy of Per - hazy bronze-orange colour, little stable foam; huge hoppy nose showing notes of melon, peach and straw; medium-bodied, very tart and very bitter, a bit oily; dry and very bitter aftertaste with more fruity tones - very very good lgklotet (396), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 24, 2007 Sweet mother of christ! This is what fresh hops are all about.. Marvellous. Had it on tap att GFW68. gnoff (2832), Göteborg, Sweden Feb 5, 2007 Updated: Feb 6, 2007(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Clear brown color, big tan head. Quite hoppy scent, not green but darker and heavier. Smells bitter to the high side. Hoppy taste, but also sweet. Rather high bitterness, but not overwhelming. Dominant hops all over, but it’s not too much this time, I like it. Medium to medium full mouthfeel. Some roasted tones in the aftertaste, also the slightest hint of coffee beans. omhper (10731), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 27, 2007 Bottled at Tegnérs Gömställe, Stockholm. Dark amber, firm majestic head. Strong lychee-like Amarillo hop aroma with some light smokey notes. Medium sweet and mesium bodied with rounded almost soapy mouthfeel. Perfumy with lots of hops, yet fresh . Bitter finish. Ölands beers are getting more in balance now, even if they are still hop monsters. This one is really good! Svesse (1821), Hässelby, Sweden Sep 24, 2007 (Bottle, Man in the Moon, Stockholm) Dark amber colour leaning towards ruby, frothy beige head. Fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, orange peel, hints of yeast, raspberries and black-currant. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Afters a while chocolate and black-currant come through. Loads of resiny, citrussy hops in the finish. Hops are quite masked in the aroma, but completely explode in the flavour. Very hoppy finish. Another lovely, hoppy beer from Ölands. Impressive! (Did they change the recipe? According to the lable on my bottle, they used Amarillo and Northdown hops.)
