TEJA (92), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 30, 2008 Firm light brown foam that lingers as long as the beer lasts. Rather dark brown but not compleatly clear. Freach hops (not citrus) but also hints of rubber. Full bodied with a long nice bitterness that ain’t big but balanced. This beer has big drinkabillity. Svesse (1700), Hässelby, Sweden Feb 17, 2008 (Bottle, Tegnérs Gömställe, Stockholm, 16 Feb 2008) Dark amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of orange, black-currant and a touch of caramel. Fruity taste with dark fruit, caramel, orange and grapefruit. Medium body, sweetish and with an impressive hop character. Very nice. ante (2503), Stockholm (Bromma), Sweden Feb 22, 2008 Bottled at Tegnérs Gömställe, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy amber colour with a low white foam. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, lemon, elder and currant-leaves with a peppery undertone. Hazy amber with white head. Aroma is very hoppy full of citrus. Flavor is bitter with a background of black currant and wood. Ljunkan (120), Karlstad, Sweden Aug 13, 2008 This was weird! Not what I’ve expected since I knew this should be a India Pale Ale. Aroma of banana (!); it feels very weissbier-like when I smell the beer. The taste is of banana/wheat-like notes and a spicy, almost perfume-like hop flavour in a weird way. It’s interesting and feels like a mix of wheat beer and a IPA. Good, but I almost thought that something was wrong first. Nice and fun that Ölands is experimenting though.
