CelticBrew (450), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Jan 13, 2008 Number 300- I’ve been looking forward to this a long time, Ølfabrikken beer! And in my fave style! Pours a hazy amber/orange. Formed a small off white foamy head. Aroma of pine resins, hops, wet forrest moss, and highland grass. Flavour is full bodied, hops, resins, caramel malts, with a tinge of cloves (?). Truly a remarkable and smooth beer. I would love to try this on tap or from the cask. I superior beer from our friends in Denmark. They have something special here, kick ass beer!!!
Drew (2375), Kent, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2008 Light copper color, medium bodied, creamy smooth palate, great lacing. Actually, not overly hoppy, but a great sweet malt that includes some nice apricot notes and citrus aromas. TOo bad you could drink this like water, it’s a bit expensive! bp (275), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle: pours a cloudy brownish-orange with a frothy white head, aroma is hoppy, citrus and some other smell that I can’t really place, taste is surprisingly mellow, malty and sweet. There is a bit of bitterness in the finish but overall a mellow and balanced DIPA. Pretty good. Scauca (226), Lovere, Italy Aug 12, 2008 Dark amber under a creamy lasting & lacing beige head. Very strong and complex hop profile over the American palette, inviting. Quite malty and fruity at the first swallow, then it explodes in a resinous very drying bitter end. joeyplush (40), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 9, 2008 Pours a cloudy, copper color with an off-white head. Citrus hops aroma, balanced with sweet malt and caramel. Chest warming alcohol finish. nearbeer (1201), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 25, 2008 650 ml. Hazy dark copper with a small, tries-to-last head. Molasses, caramel, resin, citrus and chocolate aromas. Flavor is all that plus some oak wood, walnut and light alcohol. Near medium body is watery, smooth and dryish with slight chest-warming alcohol.
