Maria (4461), Thisted, Denmark Oct 5, 2008 EBF2008. It’s a hazy golden beer with a creamy head. The aroma is fruity and aromatic. The flavour has loads of delicious Simcoe with notes of fruit, spruce and citrus and very light hints of caramel. It ends on a slightly bitter note. A lot of flavour in a relatively low ABV! larsniclas (3034), Gothenburg, Sweden Oct 4, 2008 Sampled at EBF08.
Hazy golden. Small, white head.
A lot of citric hoppiness.
Fresh and crisp, pretty dry, bitterness. harrisoni (5382), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 4, 2008 On tap at EBF 08. Nettle hop, decent little APA with some gooseberry. Bit of sherbert on aroma. asheft (979), Marburg, Germany Oct 1, 2008 [on tap at EBF 2008]
Lots of grapefruit and some pine in the nose with lemony caramel. Hazy orange with a patchy white cover and ring. Dry and bitter flavour in balance with lots of grapefruit and strawberry. Not enough caramel. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, moderately bitter finish. Rune (1812), Tromsø, Norway Oct 1, 2008 Tap at EBF, Copenhagen 08. Fragile, white head resting on top of an orange coloured body with a slight haze. Rather rich aromas of fruity hops. Mandarin dominates the taste, supplemented by late, sappy oranges. Fairly dry bitter tail. Very refreshing (13.09.2008).
