Blom (568), Odense, Denmark Apr 24, 2008 I’m not to thrilled about GB overtaking Ølfabrikken - a brewery I use to treasure as the peak of Danish craftmanship in excellent brew alongside Mikkeller in Denmark. This one confirmed by worst fears, that there would be a decline in quality. The beer is golden with a low head. Sweetish aroma of toffee, corn and grass. The flavour is quite malty with some notes of hoppy grass.
rane (340), Nibe, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Can. White head golden colour. Aroma mainly malty with some hopp notes in the background. Taste again malt dominated and sweet. I don´t understand why a brand like Ølfabrikken is used for a boring pilsner like this one. Nothing to write home about. Ole_R (1109), Oslo, Norway Jul 13, 2008 300 ml can. Solid, snowy white head. Plain Pilsener golden color with a slight haze. Clean pale malts and some inviting whiffs of sweet fruitiness in the aroma. Crisp malty taste, light sweet with a note of fresh fruits. Low bitterness, only noticable in the finish. Body is light plus. Overall, a well-made and quenching Pilsener. Monkeypower (23), Odense C, Denmark Jun 23, 2008 Golden colour with a fine, offwhite head. Malty aroma with a hint of citrus fruits. Solid flavour, still with a bit of citrus, and some corn as well. madsberg (4362), Bangalore, India Jun 22, 2008 Canned. Golden coloured. Unclear. Small off white head. Aroma is light herbal and fruity. A light citric touch. Flavour as well has some herbs and light flowers. Some light sweetness is there. Medium bodied. Quite dry. Has a light bitter end. Enjoyit (1071), Vadum, Denmark Jun 16, 2008 Unclear golden of color with a white head. An aroma with notes of hops and malt notes. An mild flavor with notes of malt and corn and hints of hops. A pretty boring pilsner.
