Jeppe (2634), Ølbutikken, Denmark Mar 10, 2007 Pours the thickest long lasting head I have seen in a while on a hazy orange golden body. Fresh hoppy and herby aroma with a nice chamomile character hiding in the background - well balanced and very saisonish. Flavor is rather sharp fruity and flowery with a more noticeable chamomile character than in the aroma. A bit tart on the tongue with a fairly long finish with a rancid feeling. A nice beer, the chamomile is well integrated and it is worthy to its style.
fonefan (4045), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 15, 2008 Bottle 75cl @ home. [Batch #260]. Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, wheat, moderate hoppy, fruity, moderate yeasty, spicy - camomile. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (200508) janir (131), Oulu, Finland Apr 20, 2008 Slightly hazy, honey wine-like orange beer has practically no head. Aromas: herbs, strongy sweet apple, berries. In the beginning flavor is very much like belgian ales and changes soon to some toffee and fruit-like with camomile. Maybe calvados-like also. Apricot in the end. Alcohol can be felt but comlex flavors conceal it totally from flavor. Very much herbs in aftertaste. Palate is much but softly carbonated and quite light-bodied. Very refreshing. Alcohol well hidden. A delicate fruity aroma and flavor (from yeast). Camomille in flavor Boutip (1716), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Mar 17, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Thewolf: Poured a dirty beige color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and fruity ester is quite interesting with some light funky notes. Taste is also dominated by some light spices with some great fruity esters with a great malt backbone which may includes wheat. Full body with limited filtration and great carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Overall, I thought it was a refreshing example of the style with some good complexity to offer as well. plovmand (380), Helsinge, Denmark Feb 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with longlasting white head. In nose lots of spices (tyme and camomile), hops and yeast. Flavour is bitterness with spicy notes and hops. Loong bitter finish. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel.
