Pale amber coloured, small (almost no) beige head. Spicy, yeasty and caramelly taste with mild hoppy and strong alcohol presence. Despite high ABV very drinkable beer.
SilkTork (3881), Rochester, Kent, England Sep 1, 2008 Chris_o’s GBBF Shindig August 08. Yeasty, murky and loose structured. Strong with alcohol peaks. Faint chocolate notes, but nothing pins down easily. Not my thing. cgarvieuk (2356), Edinburgh, Scotland Aug 27, 2008 Bottle at Chris o’s…deep red coloured ... very yeasty ... rough malty fruity ... little spirit jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands Aug 26, 2008 Bottle@BlindTastingSession. Aroma is quite alcoholic, malty, cherry, raisin and burnt sugar. Chestnut color, hazy, beige head, fair lace. Very very sweet, light fruity sourness, towards the end increasing bitterness, peppery, very fruity, licorice finish. Alcoholic and sticky mouthfeel. More or less light a dessertwine. Flavorful but still one dimensional because of all the sweetness. Attempt to create something powerful but they did not succeed in balance, complexity and drinkablity. Marsiblursi (1402), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 14, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a hazy reddish brown colour. The aroma is malty with tones of fudge, candi sugar and caramel. Fruity and spicy with tones of figs, prunes, coriander, with pepper and nutmeg alongside some earthy hops. The flavour is of sugar, spices like coriander, light to medium bitter hops, burning alcohol, syrupy caramel malt and dark dried fruits. The undertones is light citric and earthy. The mouthfeel is sticky and fiery. Near full bodied. Vac (2232), San Diego, California, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle shared by sick_boy282.
