madsberg (4374), Bangalore, India Jan 21, 2005 Bottled: Amber coloured. Hazy. Light brown dense head. Medium lasting. Chocolate, malt and light spices in the aroma. Flavour is lighty yeasty and malty with a light spicy touch. Is light bitter and fruity in the end. I’m impressed. This is a really good batch from a new microbrewery. If this is what we can expect, I can’t wait to see the next releases in the following weeks.
Ughsmash (3085), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle at RBSG. Poured clear medium caramel with a light cap of off-white head. The aroma was sweet with lighter fruit and lightly-smoked toffee coming through toward the back.. almost candied at the end. The flavor was sweeter yet with more caramel and some medium-skinned fruits.. finished with some oxidation in the likeness of dark fruits.. quite dry at the end. Medium-bodied with OK balance on the palate.. felt a bit past its prime, but still aiight. wetherel (1067), Carlsbad, California, USA Aug 4, 2008 Tasted from bottle at RBSG. Amber color. Bubblegum aroma. I’m getting tired of using this descriptor (even though I like it), especially for a beer like this, which shouldn’t have bubblegum in the aroma. Is a byproduct of Abbey yeast? Light carbonation. Sweetish. cellar (391), Dublin, Ireland Jun 4, 2008 thx for a great tasting Kim Beljohansen!
