Quack-Duck (1906), Bodensee, Germany Feb 8, 2008 bottle, bought in a supermarket in Louny. Clear dark brwon colour with an amber touch, large beige head. Full-bodied and very malty with hints of roasted malt, toffee and caramel. Rounded by Saaz hops which results in a bitter-sweet character and a dry finish.

Dried fruit and toasty aroma with detectable hops. Clear but nearly opaque, dark garnet with a lasting tan foam. Flavour: dried fruit, plum preserves, toasty malt. Sweet with only a little bitterness. Full body, almost chewy with a sweet finish. (6/25/08) Draught at Pivni Galerie in Prague. Dark brown with a medium creamy stable beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, some dark bread, coffee notes and licorice hints. Sweetish flavor with some nice toastiness/roastiness, some caramel and some coffee. Medium-bodied. Aroma of caramel and chocolate. Very sweet with an interesting finish, almost floral. Very interesting beer.
