Much more sophisticated palate, sweet and sour, vinous, dark fruit, some oxidation. If this was brewed to 8 or 9 % with a bit more body and warmth, it would have been a world class beer.

Sep 8, 2008 This is one strange Czech beer. First it has no foam and small carbonation. The colour is light brown. In the aroma it is like a aged barley wine but dilluted. The taste is also sweet with aromatic spices.

Aug 28, 2008 Hazy amber with tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, dark fruits and caramel. Flavor likewise with a sweet end.

Aug 9, 2008 (6/24/08) Bottle at Pivovarsky Klub in Prague. Amber color with a medium off-white head. Sweet aroma of malt, honey, caramel and some fruitiness. Very sweet, quite syrupy, flavor with caramel and some light wood notes. Medium-bodied. Not very pleasant.
