fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 8, 2007 Vintage 2007, 8% ABV Cloudy golden color; creamy head; too much yeast in the bottle. The aroma is perfumy, light spices, lavender, very light yeast; interesting. The mouthfeel is very good, soft, quite sweet with malt flavor; also a herbal touch (light rosemary or lavender); the bitterness at the end is just a bit above my liking. Good but odd.
BartC (238), Lichtaart, Belgium Apr 25, 2008 Although hardly a year old, the beer is definitely aged and it has aged very well. Orange-yellowish beer. Sweet aroma’s and taste. A bit of fruitiness (coriander, mango) and madeira. Bitterness is completely gone. Although nicely aged, I still prefer the fresh one. jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Feb 24, 2008 Bottle@Home. Citrus, green apples and ginger aroma. Light hazy, yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, maty, apple, ginger and a hint of madeira. Full and warming. Surprising beer, flavorful and quite special. Tranquillity (1029), Espoo, Finland Feb 14, 2008 330ml bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Belgian Week 2008. Hazy body, small white head. Aroma of honey, a bit spiky. Taste a bit bitter, honey, some herbs. Long finish, spicy. oh6gdx (5739), Vaasa, Finland Feb 12, 2008 Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour with small white head. Aroma is caramelly, malty and some spices, cookies and sugaryness. Flavour is caramel, sweetness and some mild breadyness. Aftertaste is spices as well as flowery bitterness. Sweet fruity aroma. Taste matches - sweetness is caramelly, but with loads of malt too, very malty. A bit of ginger too. Very tasty and clean despite the sweetness.
