There is nothing special about this beer as it was blase and lacks character. It had a medium sized white head that was smooth and creamy. It contained fine-small sized bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was clear with carbonation observed and the hue was gold. The nose was malty and there was not much flavor with this beer. The mouthfeel was smooth, thin-watery texture and light bodied. There was a fair amount of lacing.

My two favorite beers produced by Genesee are the Cream Ale and the 12 Horse Ale. Alas the 12 Horse Ale is no more. Pours a clear gold with a foamy white head. Light but pleasant aroma of hops with a hint of malt. Slightly sweet with more malt than in the aroma with a light hoppy finish.

A good beer that never found a niche. Unfairly instantly pigeonholed as your grandfather’s beer. Genny should have just left it alone and they’d still be making it. Instead they changed the label and tried to force it on an unreceptive demographic. I drank it then and I still would today.

So this is at least one year old. Thats not a good sign. Pour is a clear yellow with a tint of orange. Aroma comes off as cheap and full of corn. Smells cheap kind of like bad grape juice. Flavor comes off pretty similar. Swill, but easy going swill. There isnt the bad beer flavor, it just lacks the real beer flavor.

Retired or not i found this beast at the store the other day. The name alone deserves to be on a four ouncer not a 12ver. Very weird beer as it had little taste at all, just some apples and virtually no aftertaste. The beer is weak, but the name is awesome.
