alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Sep 22, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Color was a slightly hazy gold color with a white head. Aroma was yeasty, grainy and malty. Flavor ws the same and good for the style; yeasty and sweet malt. A respectable beer. potbeercollege (251), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 1, 2009 draught at brewpub. Cheaper than the rest of the beers at the pub, at least day i was there. Looks like their triple gold. Thick yellow colored with their signature creamy head. Sweet with carmel malt. Good day beer. light palate with little bite in finish. Taste like a lot of the helles style beers i drank all over the Austrian country but better. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Mar 29, 2009 Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy yellow golden coloured, small white head that went away fast leaving nice lace. Mild but pleasant hoppy herbal taste with touch of honey and grain in the finish. A bit watery palate but refreshing beer. nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Jan 4, 2009 Draught at 1516 Brewing Co. Vienna. Notes from July 08. Hazy yellow with white head. Malt and grassy aroma and taste. Dry finish. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Nov 21, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is nicely dusty, slightly sweet, quite malty. Hint of citrus, refreshing here. omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 20, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy glden, creamy head. Sweet with creamy malt. Mild and easy drinking, soft and light-medium bodied. Finishes with low bitterness. Typical Viennese style helles, and arguably the most well made beer at 1516, although also the least experimental. downender (2528), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 4, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. An easy drinking lager, slightly hazy gold in colour with dusty hops, some sweetish malts and a short dry finish. Ok. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Tap @ 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna.
Pours a pale, greenish, golden with a small, creamy, white head. Good lacing. Aroma has light butterscotch and some doughy malts. Weak hoppiness, flowery and grassy. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely hoppy, grainy and a bit of butter. Frankly better than its current ratings.
