Pub (4103), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Dec 18, 2004 On tap at 1516 Brauhouse, Wien. Pale straw with lasting head. Dry, reasonably hoppy crisp lagerbeer with a biscuity malt giving a lasting flavour. The 1516 brewery is a classic Vienese brewpub with good food and plenty of conversation.
downender (1609), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 4, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. An easy drinking lager, slightly hazy gold in colour with dusty hops, some sweetish malts and a short dry finish. Ok. thewolf (3959), Kolding, Denmark Jul 13, 2008 Tap @ 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna.
Pours a pale, greenish, golden with a small, creamy, white head. Good lacing. Aroma has light butterscotch and some doughy malts. Weak hoppiness, flowery and grassy. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely hoppy, grainy and a bit of butter. Frankly better than its current ratings. shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Dec 11, 2007 Pours a straw yellow color with a white head. Aroma is light malt and a hint of grain. Flavor is light malt with a light peppery bitter finish. Rune (1807), Tromsø, Norway Dec 7, 2007 100ml draught at this amazing brewpub downtown in Wien.
