Pours nice hazy, deep amber with a big, staying, frothy/creamy off-white head. Suplime aroma, lots of hops, pine, grapefruit, citrus and flowers. Good caramel maltiness behind it. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has soft caramel, wonderful dryness in the finish. Truly well-balanced beer.
downender (1612), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 4, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Appealing reddish-amber in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pine resin, citrus hops, oranges and a touch of red fruit sweetness. Full mouth feel, with pine hop flavours coating the mouth, accompanied by caramel, red currants, grapefruit, a slight yeastiness and a powerful dry finish. The alcohol was extremely well hidden - I didn’t notice it until I woke up the following morning with a headache. Great stuff. dunkpigen (283), Kolding, Denmark Jul 30, 2008 Tap @ 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna. Pours reddish/hazy amber with a nice offwhite frothy/creamy head.
