22 oz aluminum bottle-Clear mahogany pour w/no head. Skunked aroma of malt, bread dough & a wet dishrag....uh oh. Tastes like sour bread & watered down malt, maybe a little sugar water. Not sure if this beer is skunked or if it’s supposed to taste like this, although I can’t imagine this is the flavor they were shooting for @ the brewery. I hate to slam a new brewer, particularly one local to me, but this stuff is awful....drainpour!

Bottle shared by andrew at SL... Pours a brownish red color, small head. Aroma of malts and bread. Taste is your typical amber ale.... blah.... A sweet maltiness. On the thin side but not watery. Just boring.... Overall not a bad beer for its style but in the big picture of beers available this one will stay on the shelves.

THOUGHTS: Really nice. What an amber ale should be. Almost like a nitro beer. A little metallic in the finish, but really nice. One of the best ambers I’ve had. Fairly British too. Bonus point for the awesome aluminum bottle. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, dark brown amber that was bright glowing amber in the light with an average, light tan head that kept a chick sheet and left good lacing. The aroma was moderate to heavy nutty and caramel malt, lighter roasted and toasted malt; floral and herbal hops, leman slight cherry and tea. The initial flavor was sweet, lightly bitter and slightly acidic; while the finish was acidic, light to moderately bitter and lightly sweet with an average duration. There was caramel, nutty and roasted malts, lemony citrus, toasted malt, fruity, slight cherry, burnt malt, floral and metallic hops, tea and slight smoke. The medium body was fairly oily and then a little dry, but also a little sticky on the lips with lightly fizzy carbonation that was actually fairly soft with a lightly metallic, almost soapy finish.

16oz. Bottle: Aroma of malts, toasting, light caramel, and light hops. Poured copper/deep amber in color with a tiny, off-white head that lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Small lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malts, toasting, slight brown sugar, light nuts, light sour-dough pretzel, light caramel, slight hops, and hints of cocoa and roasting. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, slight caramel, slight nut, and hint of cocoa finish.

From a bottle poured brown with no head. Sweet malty flavor with a bitter lingering finish.
