kfl (46), Denmark Jul 16, 2008 (Bottle 50cl, Fakta) Pours clear, golden with a medium, white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of hay, bread and mild caramel. Flavor of hops. Medium bodied. Mild bitterness. Refreshing cellar (261), Dublin, Ireland Jul 13, 2008 Clear golden, short head, weak notes of malt, yeast, grain, caramel, littel fruit, and some cardboard, sweet and sweet finish. Tranquillity (1027), Espoo, Finland Jul 5, 2008 Bottled. Extremely lively, especially now that I didn’t have time to cool it down properly. Big white head, dark yellow body. Very full (for a pils) aroma which is hoppy with a hay-addition. Not bad at all. The taste is enjoyable as well, hops here too. Cheers! iammadeofjelly (182), Liverpool, Merseyside, England Jul 1, 2008 Can, When you crack it it froths like crazy. It has the sharp acidity of czech lager. It’s very very very bubbly, to pour it’s goldenish.
Has an ’old’ taste about it, like it’s been bottle conditioned, but in a can. slips down alright though, and incredibly cheap. Doppelganger (1080), Oxford, Oxfordshire, England Jun 30, 2008 Tin, Cowley Road Tesco, Oxford. Light orange, smallish amount of white head. Some DMS in the nose, not aggressive, but less pretty than it could be. A bit of herbal hops. Flavor is sort of vague white bread malt, but a slowly building garden sort of hop presense builds some interest. This stands in the uncomfortable middle ground between horrid pale lagers that wish to style themselves as pils, and the real full-on hoppy delciousness of the real thing. Not brilliant, but not so bad either.
