Bottle, picked up from the Dodgy Deli (Classic Deli) Cowley Rd, Oxford 09-02-07 for 50p a bottle. Pours light golden, aroma had some malt and hoppy notes. Taste was a tad dissapointing, as it came across as quite thin, little bit sweet, yes there was the malt and hops and it did have some characteristics of some of it’s more famous compatriots but overall I’ve had much better. But at 50p a bottle I shouldn’t really complain and if at a BBQ or something similar this would probably go down a treat.

Oct 5, 2008 bottle. bit of a hoppy, corny aroma. pours a light yellow with a little bit of white head. kind of a plain taste with not much flavor.

Oct 4, 2008 Gold body and white head. grain, grass and carton aroma. sweet and littel bitter. a little watery, a medium pilsner.

Bürgerbräu, golden colr, with a white head, honeyish pale malt nose, with a hint of corn, with a faint floral hop accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp sweet crunchy grainy pale malt character, with a hint of vanilla a mild flowery hop leafy note, leading towards a malty, lingering hop bitterness finish. A nice quenching pilsener.

Sep 30, 2008 Light bronze with fluffy head and constant upward carbonation. Easy, clean, crisp grain in the nosing. Refreshing scents with hint of malt. The flavor is likewise, clean, crisp and easy-bodied. Grain and some malt. Subtle and nuanced. Refreshing. This is the rare quality pilsner.

flavor is very pleasing, fresh, a little sweet and a little hoppy.this is a pleasure to drink, once again a czech pilsener surprises me in a positive way.
