Jul 3, 2009 Pours clear golden yellow with a frothy white head. Weak sour fruit aroma. Flavor is light fruit, wheat, yeast, somewhat sour and very dry. Quite reminiscent of champagne. Not bad.

Jul 2, 2009 Clear gold pour with a huge one-and-a-half inch white head. Lightly sour fruit aroma, dry green apples. Flavor is fruity and dry, mildly citrusy. Very tangy and clean. A very pleasant and refreshing beer.

Jun 28, 2009 Pours cloudy yellow with large white head and carbonation that never seems to stop. There were so many bubbles continuing in mine, it also seemed like I was drinking a beer soda. Aroma of wheat, citrus, and some spices. Lemon in the flavor. I wasn’t that big of a fan.

Jun 27, 2009 Head dissipates quickly. Most complexity is in the aroma of banana and citrus. Flavor is mainly lemony tart, not much else. Cool thing is Napoleon drank this exact recipe!

smell is of wheat, light citrus, and a touch of spice.
taste is crisp, lots of lemon (too much), and yeast, ends on the sour side.

Jun 16, 2009 Bottle - Pours straw yellow w/ huge white foamy head and a little haze from the sediment. Like the other berliners I’ve tasted, I could smell this from across the room. It’s tart with honey, wheat, and lovely sournes. Unfortunately, there’s not much to taste--sour wheat and lactose, with a real dry finish. There’s too much carbonation, though it’s still pretty refreshing. Decent, but not as good as I anticipated.

Jun 14, 2009 Bottle courtesy of BeerBelcher. This one is supposed to act as my gateway to the other sour styles. Pours a cloudy blond/gold, with a big white head. Tart and acidic aroma of apple and citrus. Flavor is about the same with a thin finish. Not bad. I’m by no means ready to dive into Lambics with both feet, but I can drink this.

Jun 7, 2009 Pour is cloudy yellow with an enormous white fluffy head. A few floaties too. Aroma is lemon, grass, hay, sour wheat, and funk. Flavor is sour, wheaty, yeasty, barnyard-like, lemon, and some green grape. Very effervescent mouthfeel. Flavor is crisp, this beer is incredibly drinkable. Perfect summer/warm weather beer. very pleseant.
