Aroma of grass, hay, lemon, mildly aromatic... Grass/Hay dominate a surprisingly sweet maltiness, with a mild tartness that follows... Very lively, very carbonated, almost sodalike... I would like to try this with the syrups, a hint of fruitiness would improve this for me immensely.... DeadGirl (219), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA

Pours lemony light yellow from the 25oz. bottle: Nose is light vinegar, yeast, granny smith apple, and big on citrus. Taste is similar with added fruit tones. A little watery, but still drinkable. Not a huge fan of this style, therefore I’m unfamiliar with it’s bouquet of flavors, but I appresh the traditional make of it. Drinkability: Light, citrus, tart. Refreshing. Rebuy: Sure. #202 on 20112009, DG. Fevernova (44), Ohio, USA

Great acidity and slight tartness. Can really taste the copious amounts of suspended yeast sediment from the bottle. Pretty lively carbonation. Light bodied with a dry finish. j12601 (1217), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a murky and milky straw yellow with a large creamy white head. Sweet, a little bit of mustard, hay, a little bit of papery grains. Nice crisp sourness up front, light acid. Finishes with some slow lingering tartness and a lot of effervescence. cking (1019), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Nicely tart and exceptionally quenching, I hope this style continues to be revitalized, and become more readily available. Golden yellow color, soapy head and streaky lacing with tight carbonation. Applesauce and lime aromas followed by saltine crackers and sugar cookies. Zesty, lightly sour and easy to throw back. Green apple, light peach and lemon peel fruit flavors with dry wheat and grass. Good profile, very calming and approachable. alexanderj (2227), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2009 On tap at Beachwood a few weeks back. Color was a dull, hazy gold. Aroma was tart/sour, bready, and wheaty. Perhaps some lemon, vanilla and pepper. Flavor was much of the same. This is one style of beer I have never particularly liked and just don’t get it really. Solid, but not great. corby112 (706), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a cloudy thick yellowish orange color with a one finger foamy white head that quickly disappears, leaving no lacing. Kind of sludgy looking and unappealing.
Citrusy aroma with hints of corriander and orange peel as well as some funky sour tartness. Slightly spicy with hints of peppery lemon zest.
Funky sour version of a heffe. Bready yeaty bosy with hints of corinader, lemon and orange peel as well as some subtle grapefruit and ripe banana. The tartness is subtle and not as dominant as I was expecting and/or hoping for. Slightly tart finish but otherwise just tastes like a muddy earthy german wheat beer. Finale moyennement acide (lactique). Très rafraîchissant et facile à boire.
