afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 19, 2008 .5L bottle. I don’t have a "bowl" style glass so I used a Trappist glass which seems like a similar shape. Lightly hazed green-gold liquid topped by a half inch of foam that settles down to a thin capping. Smells of lemon, wheat, tart like a good saison. Crisp dry wheaty flavor, some lemon, a touch of sourness. Intense carbonation nips at the tongue and throat quickly scrubbing away any flavors that were just there. Definitely the best Berliner Weisse that I have had so far. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 16, 2008 Crystal clear 10 karat pour with a nice fizzy head that diminishes quickly...decent amount of sticky lacing. Aroma is tart, sour, lemony and a bit of malt. Flavor is sweeter than others in the style...not quite as "bright and refreshing" as it should be. Average. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA Oct 11, 2008 1pt 9fl oz: Clear yellow pour with two finger, frothy white head. Very soft nose offers some lacto sourness with a touch of wheat. Very unassuming. Crisp, tart body leads with light peach and pear esthers, followed by a quiet dose of wheaty malt. Leaves a tart lemon lime feeling on the back of the tongue. This is a tough one to analyze. It is crisp and refreshing, flaw-free. Very drinkable, but just not that much there. But I guess that is the point. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Oct 11, 2008 Bottle. [thank you, after4ever]
Pours clear, pale golden with a nice, frothy, fizzy, white head. Aroma is lightly tart, lemons, apple and some funk. A bit weak mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Flavour is okay, light sour and citric with some sweet wheat. Well, it is never a 3,67 beer, but drinkable. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours pale golden with no head. The nonse is full and complex. The flavor is sweet on the tip of the tongue, with subtle mid to finish. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 6, 2008 Clear yellow with a fizzy white head and fervent visible carbonation. Dry acidic fruity character aroma. Lingering acidic taste some tart citrus notes. Smooth body and a strong lifting carbonation to a dry finish. Bockyhorsey (2483), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, Aroma of grass sweet and sour. Yellow body with white head. Flavor is crisp and has a sour tart bite to start with. Sourness subsides for a tart dryness on the finish. Dry palate and good old fashioned beer belch to boot. Decent brew. scrizzz (1246), kirkland, Washington, USA Sep 23, 2008 Milky yellow, lively head. Sweet lemongrass aroma. Wet, thin, barely tart, jiucy. I remember this as being incredibly tart the first time I had it, but this bottle wasn’t as dynamic.
