Aug 7, 2008 Bottle received via Secret Santa summer 2008. Pours hazy yellow with a large, rocky, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, straw, meal), average hops (grass, lemon), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of grape, pineapple, and dust. Light bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Aug 2, 2008 Pours a cloudy dishwater sort of color with a massive fizzy white head. Aroma is a yeast malt and lemonade.
Flavor is nice and sharp with a good bit of malt and acidity. Very nice flavor. Maybe not terribly complex, but very tasty.

Jul 30, 2008 500ml Bottle: Aroma of yeast, dust, wheat, lemon, lactic acid, and fruit. Poured yellow/corn/sun in color with a huge, fizzy, off-white head that shrank but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly sour. Tastes of fruit, lemon, yeast, wheat, ginger ale, and citrus. Medium body. Tingly texture. Lively carbonation. Sweet, dry finish. Over carbonated.

Jul 26, 2008 The beer is moderately malty with a light bread aroma. The beer also smells a bit like hay mixed with some citrus fruit juice, mainly lemon.
It pours with an average-huge head that is white in color.
The initial flavor is moderately sweet and finishes sour. It is light according to the palate with a dry texture and the carbonation is fizzy. The finish feel of this beer is extremely dry!

Jul 26, 2008 Updated: Jul 29, 2008Pours with a large, foamy white head covering a clear fizzy yellow body. Aroma of hay, honey and wheat. Taste is lemony in the finish and quite refreshing. Taste is also strong on the wheat with nearly a touch of clove in the tart finish. Quite pleasant. Not as sour or tart as other Berliner Weisses that I have had. Lively bubbles with a dry mouthfeel.

Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma of lots of spices, yeast. Smells like a witbier. Flavor of initial carbonation, yeast/bread, spices, with a slightly sour finish. Not as sour/tart as I’d expected from a berliner weisse and a little bit spicier. Still quite tasty and very drinkable.

Jul 22, 2008 What a summer beer should be light but full flavored. Tart nose with fruit and honeysuccle. Nice tart flavor and strong carbonation. a bit like a lambic or a sour.
