The aroma is relatively mild with wheat, sour papaya and some honey. The flavor is sweet and sour lemons, honey and melons rounding out the sides. The mouthfeel is silky with lively carbonation. The finish is dry, short and clean. Overall: This is a superb thirst quencher. Loved it.

Jun 3, 2008 its a nice tropical fruity smell with a nice golden cloudy haze. The taste is tart but still very drinkable. its smooth and its has mild character, but it just doesnt wow me, at the end.

Jun 3, 2008 The aroma is sour wheat, sour kraut, barley, and yeast. The appearance is hazy with gold color and a nice head. The flavor is sour but not overly so and like the aroma. The palate is thin but just right. Overall it’s good.

Piquant, tart and lightly wheaty accents with a whiff of yeast and citrus. Vague acidity in the finish also. Interesting, less challenging but more quaffable than your normal Berliner Weisse. 270408

May 28, 2008 500ml bottle shared by illini08, thanks! My first foray into this particular style, and while I’m not much of a sour ale lover, I found this one delightful. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with a wispy white head. Aroma of moderate lemon, yeast and a hint of sourness. Flavor was part wheat, lemon, biscuit and yeast with a wonderful mild sourness. A perfect adult beverage for the summer!

May 27, 2008 Shared by doboy at DrBayerns house (hey Ed and Matt!!) Pours rather yellowish, with a particular cloudiness. Aroma of lemons, and other citrus’. Flavour was rather tart, yet astonishing refreshing. Overall a lovely beer from a unique style.

May 26, 2008 Pours out a cloudy light golden straw color with a small quickly fading head. Aroma has some citrus and some vinous aromas. Taste is very light and refreshing, but at the same time complex. Sour notes mix with some banana, bread/grain and some nice funky tartness. Very drinkable and a great summer beer.

May 26, 2008 Cloudy yellow appearance. Slightly bitter flavor, till I got to the bottom and found more sour! Has great aroma. Head retention left a lot to be desired. Would like to try it with the blend in flavors.
