JMFG (1514), Florida, USA Apr 29, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden effervescent pour with a moderate white head that quickly disappears. Aroma of crisp grains, oats, a slight lactic aroma, and a vague citric peel-like note. Very lemony tartness to the taste that hovers for a bit then lets some grains come in. Pretty low-key and refreshing after a couple sips. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 28, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with fully diminished white head. Light orange fruity and light citric note. Light yeasty aroma and also into the flavour. Light citric flavour mixed with a mild yeasty note. Ends yeasty and citric. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 28, 2008 Bottle.
Hazy yellow coloured with a small white ehad.
Light acidic aroma of fruits with notes of lactic acid.
Light acidic flavour of fruits and yeast with notes of citrus.
Citric finish. cmillward (418), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 26, 2008 Bottle @ redlight redlight. Poured into a huge footed weisse glass, hazy gold with a huge fluffy white head. On the nose, my first thought was orange juice though then I questioned this. Nicely sour/tart and fruity, not full on lemon, but hints of citrus, hard to pin down. In the mouth it tastes of lovely slight sourness and tartness, more distinct impression of some lemon. A slight puckering invoked, full mouthfeel and a nice dry finish. This was wonderfully thirst quenching. I will be keeping a couple of these on hand for those hot Florida summer days that I know will soon be here. demitriustown (689), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA Apr 24, 2008 1 pt .9 fl oz bottle: Aroma is tart, lemony, nice pungent almost sour hop aroma, and green apples. Pours a clear golden color with really nice lacing bubbling up the side of the glass. Taste is nice and sour, citrus, tart, light hop characteristics, awesome taste in my honest opinion. Palate is very carbonated on the lips, and aftertaste has a lingering sweetness and tartness. Overall, This is the prefect style for a hot summer day. My first Beliner I thought it was a sour disgusting mess. Now I love the style. Cheers! jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle: Yellow pour with a large white head. Aroma is dry with grassey hops, light citrus, and a hint of grain. Flavor becomes crisp with citrus, a little biscuit, and some light hops. Nice. Thanks Jordan. MatSciGuy (627), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Apr 23, 2008 [bottle] Poured cloudy gold with a large, soapy white head. Pretty sour flavor dominates. Wheat and yeast comes through at the end. Light mouthfeel. CharlesDarwin (1822), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Apr 17, 2008 500ml Bottle. A very fresh, fragrant and floral aroma. Coarsely crushed white pepper mingles with orchid blossom. Musky dragonfruit and lychee blow through. Spring breezes elicit warm bread. Nice. Pours a well hazed straw-bale tinted gold. Light opalescence and a dirty tinge. Rim in clean, sparse, fast-fading rocky white. Flavor is luxurious. A peppery, bright blend of soft wheat sugars, snappy bog-like tang, and crisp French bread crust. Nice balance all around. White table grapes fuse with plum sugars and quite fresh doughy bread to create a real interesting blend. Lactic tang is rather minimal but present, giving it a delicious, curt acidity that keeps it refreshing and clean. Not amazingly complex. Fresh, lively and well-built. A nice rendition.
