garmonbozia (225), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Sep 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to Sprinkle. Huge head with a cloudy orange color. Smell is of course bananas and spices, alot of farm house funk. This is an awsome beer jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Sep 5, 2009 Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of lemons, banana, spice and a touch of bubble gum - nice! Light-bodied; Mild malty flavour from wheat and citrus with a touch of spice, some yeast and more banana flavours than in the smell. Aftertaste shows a nice mellow finish with some light alcohol, a dose of yeast and more mellow wheat characteristics. Overall, a pretty nice beer - definitely shows well in the summer heat, but the character complexity really comes out! I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from German Gourmet in Falls Church, Virginia, sampled on 07-August-2009 at home in Washingotn. thirdeye11 (404), Texas, USA Aug 30, 2009 ( 500ml bottle) pours a cloudy yellow, great head. Nose is sweet, sour, with spices, and some tarness. The taste is very tart in a great way, lemon zest, very carbonated with a nice light body and a very easy drinking beer. Nothing here disappointed. Like a sour without being overly so! AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Aug 28, 2009 Hazy golden with a lingering white head. Lightly tart aroma with a mild grainy malt sweetness. Light/medium bodied. Good flavors of bready light wheat malts, with lightly tart apple skin, then a mild pit fruit sweetness to finish. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Aug 23, 2009 bottle thanks to thirdeye11. cloudy yellow with a white head. nose is sour with some wheat. flavor is heavy wheat and a nice sourness in the finish. all day drinker? i think so. buzzoven (333), Japan Aug 20, 2009 Bottle purchased from Sam’s on recommendation from my brother. Clear light yellow in colour; lots of tiny bubbles fdloating upward to the whispy head. White wine and grapefruit on the nose. Taste and mouthfeel lean more towards a champagne feel with the carbonation tickling the tongue. There is a vinegar taste and a tartness in the flavour but it is balanced out by a slight earthy tone. I was detecting a little bit of a Farmhouse Ale character here as well. A great beer highlighted by choice food pairings. My recommendation: Brillat Savarin cheese. Perfect. Narnad (682), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Aug 14, 2009 Pours a crystal clear yellow, very high carbonation and a dense bubbly white head that fades down fairly quickly. Aroma has a very light acidic sourness to it, not as much as I expected, with a green apple/white grape sweetness, light hay note, cheesy and farmhouse scent finish it out. Flavor starts off with a light sweet grape and mild lemon citric acid flavor but quickly moves into a sour, wet straw and farmhouse flavor with a refreshing tartness to the finish. Brew ends with a very dry, tongue puckering/numbing feeling. Density is perfectly light but heavy enough to carry the wide array of flavors for the entire tasting. Beer has a high effervescent feel with its high carbonation. I was expecting something way more soured and acidic for this styling. Overall a very good brew with a very wide range of flavors that fade into one another and work superbly. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2009 Bottle form capones. Poured a straw yellow color with a nice big white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, yeast. Taste is light and refreshing with lots of citrus flavors. This style is becoming one of my favorites.
