ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Aug 30, 2007 Pours out a very light yellow color with a white head on it. Smell is fruity and sour with some lemons in it. Taste is fairly sour, but very refreshing. Probably the most refreshing beer I have ever drank. There isnt alot to say about the beer, but I just know its damn good. extremeicon (108), Wichita, Kansas, USA Aug 29, 2007 Perfect hazy golden color with a large white head. Wheaty-citrusy aroma with a hint of bread dough. First sip is an explosion of pleasantly sour lemon that’s quite refreshing. Very smooth on the palate with great carbonation. nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 27, 2007 Updated: Jan 27, 2009A very drinkable berliner weisse. Still tart and tangy, but not overwhelmingly so. Serious lemon and lime notes, with a delightful effervescence. Top-notch stuff. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Aug 27, 2007 Updated: Feb 25, 2008Bottle. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a bright white head. Aroma of lemon zest and bananas in milk with sugar on top. A pleasant lemony tartness with better than average carbonation on the palate. A hint of granny smith apple and wheat. Finishes fairly tart. What a great summer refresher. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Aug 25, 2007 Pours a hazy light gold with a two finger head of fine white bubbles that diminishes to a thin ring clinging to the sides of the glass. The aroma is of light apple and lemon with a backing of sour wheat. Light to medium bodied with thousands of tiny bubbles enveloping your tongue, it finishes somewhat tart and dry. The first Berliner Weisse that I’ve sampled, I found this beer quite refreshing. The flavor is a nice blend of effervescent wheat malt and citrus notes with a pleasantly tart and moderately dry finish. I’d be curious to see what this is like with the traditional syrup added, but it’s quite tasty in its pure form. PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2007 Nice, I tend to like this style. This is my 2nd one, and I’d say its just a half step down from the Berliner Kindl weisse. Cloudy yellow gold color, a little still in the glass despite a palate clearing carbonation. Minimal head. Aroma hints at a mild spiciness and minty wheatiness. Flavor is pleasantly tart, with a strong wheaty graininess. Finish is tart and light. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Aug 24, 2007 Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is faint citrus and maybe a little banana. Flavor is super citrus and tart with some sour apple. A different style of beer and not one that I would go looking to find all the time but it is a good summer refresher. bobaidan (358), Farmington, Connecticut, USA Aug 24, 2007 Pours clear yellow with a tiny head. Aroma is lemon and wheat. Mouth feel is lively for a brew with such a small head. Flavor is tart but not overpowering. Nice citrus and bread flavors are present. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this style, but I like it. A very pleasant surprise.
