tsetlock (66), Livonia, Michigan, USA Feb 25, 2009 The beer is moderately malty with a light bread aroma. The beer also smells a bit like hay mixed with some citrus fruit juice, mainly lemon. It pours with an average white head that is white in color. The initial flavor is moderately sweet and finishes sour. It is light according to the palate with a dry texture and the carbonation is fizzy. The finish feel of this beer is a little watery. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Feb 21, 2009 bottle in trade from koopa. Thanks! Pours a rich cloudy yellow-ish golden orange color with a short lived fizzy white head. Smell is wheaty with some lemony tartness to it. Taste is very wheaty with a touch of clove spice tucked away in the end along with some lemony citrus tones to it and a light tartness. Medium to light mouthfeel and highly carbonated and prickly.
Very enjoyable. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Feb 17, 2009 Straw yellow in color with a good sized white head. Aroma is tart with notes of lemon, orange, spices and yeast. Taste is the same with less tartness. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 9, 2009 16.9oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is perfumy, husky grain/bread, banana. As the beer warmed, the aroma did become lemon dominanat. Taste is tart/acidic lemon right up front. Mid and after taste is tart/acidic/lemon/fruit, wheat-slightly sweet, yeasty. OK effervescence. Not my taste but enjoyable. Thanks to emacgee for picking this out. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy and very carbonated yellow with some chunky floaters and a huge 4 finger snow white head that faded quickly. The nose is fruity with spice and light hops. Taste is sour wheat, sweet citrus and yeast with light fruity hops in the finish. Medium prickly mouth feel. Good brew, light and refreshing. tarheels86 (703), Washington DC, USA Feb 2, 2009 500 mL. pours a cloudy yellow with a two finger bright white head. Aromas of white grapes, green apples. lemon zest. Taste is like a very sour and tart hefeweizen. Very similar to chardonnay every step of the drink- ends tart and dry. Long, astringent aftertaste. I do really like this. A cross between a hefeweizen and a lambic.
