A huge initial head that disappears quickly. A sourness, but nowhere near the Berliner KindlWeisse. I kind of like it though - the sourness is stronger up front. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

Smell is fruity and sour with some lemons in it. Taste is fairly sour, but very refreshing. Probably the most refreshing beer I have ever drank. There isnt alot to say about the beer, but I just know its damn good. beastiefan2k (1605), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2007 500ml liter bottle. Poured into a wine glass with a huge head that fades into a thick surface covering lacing. Now this is a sight, the color is the most palest color and still cloudy. The beer contains so much light yet one cannot see through it. Aroma is pilsner-tart-lemon with a spicy refreshing wheatiness. Taste shines more so with the tartness. Starts off with light wheat, leads into a strong, sharp, acidic tartness and finishes lemon-y refreshing. Aftertaste is spicy wheat and kind of dry. The tartness is really nice and just gives a soft prick in the bottom of the throat. The carbonation is above average, the combination of the light body and the tartness with the lemon flavors makes this extremely refreshing an easy drinking. It reminds me a lot of a light and tart Belgian Wit. Very thirst quenching, returnable, and recommended. For a relatively fresh bottle there is a lot of schmutz. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

Tartness seems like its going to sourness, when suddenly magicly it smoothes out nicely ,by far the best Berliner Weiss I’ve ever had, an absolute perfect summer quencher that tastes great even in winter. I believe this is an extra from biggcb. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2007 500 ml. euro bottle, no freshness date, at least not one I could find, sampled in the widest tumbler glass I own. Sediment is visible in the bottom of the bottle.
After looking at the bottle closely, I decided to give it a swirl before I poured. I have no idea if this will make a difference or is a mistake on my part. Unfiltered cloudy appearance, bright golden yellow color with a fast rising white head that settled just as quickly into a thin white sudsy lacing. Quite active carbonation, you can hear it snap and pop when you put your ear to the top of the glass.
Tart aromas of a lemon and tangerine blend along with a good deal of malted wheat. I like the wheat malt and sour citric smells this emits, I find it appealing.
Refreshingly crisp and dry, the moderate body has an airy lightness due to the carbonation. The first tastes I noticed are bread grains and wheat malts, followed by mildly tart and sour squeezed lemons and orange juiciness. This has a mellow acidity, just enough acidity to wake up the palate. Towards the end a subtle, hidden banana yeast flavor emerges, adding to the sour fruity and white flour wheat bread finish.
This would make a great hot weather/lawnmower beer, but even on a cold December night, delightfully refreshing and tasty.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Cloudy golden pour has a massive, foamy head. Nose is lively and sour with an undertone of banana and wheat. Palate is really amazing with a sturdy body softened by strong carbonation in a great interplay. Flavor is mostly dominated by the tartness with more of wheat qualities shining through. These revolving elements make for a refreshing and thoroughly enjoyable example of this interesting style.
