Draught at the brewpub. Black with creamy nitrogen fuelled head. Dry and very roasty. Notes of of coffee and licorice. Very Irish in style, but with more life than in Guinness & Co these days. Medium bitterness.

Oct 16, 2007 Pours dark with a tan foam head. Aroma is of roasted/burnt malt. Flavor is smooth and creamy but a bit bland. Not bad.

Nov 30, 2006 Draft. Brown/black beer with a creamy beige nitro head. Light roast/coffee aroma. Light roast/toffee/coffee/caramel malt flavor that lingers. Just a bit of bitterness. Medium bodied. The flavor is just a bit too light for me.

Nov 4, 2006 Draft on Nitro. Dark brown color with a frothy beige head. Chocolate malt aroma. Flavors of chocolate, burnt malt and some sweet fruits. Dry finish.

Feb 19, 2006 Very dark brown colour. Lightly roasty, chocolatey aroma. Light, mainly chocolatey character with just a light hint of roast. Smooth and creamy. The malts legitimize the nitrogen. Well-balanced.
