Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mango and grapefruity hops. Light bodied with a solid citrusy fruity hops base flavour. Bitter and citric finish. beastiefan2k (1590), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jul 15, 2009 This was my favorite beer for the sampler I got at 21st. While everything is hoppy in this place, there is nothing as good as a hop only beer that is 3% (it was listed at 3% on the menu). This is definitely the most hop bang one gets for the abv buck. The brew is a clear dull golden color and has a very sticky lacing. The beer is all clean, crisp, and bitter hops. The malt is almost a non-factor. Long bitter finish, damn the bitterness never goes away. This is the most hoppy beer I have had that was only 40 IBUs. JohnC (2230), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jul 10, 2009 I had this on draft at 21st Amendment.
I thought this is a very nice example of a flavorful, yet low in alcohol, beer. Dry citric hoppy flavor and aroma, but at 3%, a fine session beer. Oscbert (531), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 4, 2009 ~Pours a clear gold color with white head.
~Citrus hops dominate scent. Has a biscuity malt backbone.
~Citrus hops again dominate flavor, some sweet malts.
~Light feel, bitter citrus finish.
~Bad example of style. Very high in hops, which i like. marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA May 24, 2009 On tap at the brewery. This blonde ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and a floral aroma. There is some nice hopping, resulting in a grassy bitter finish. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 15, 2009 Tasted at GABF 2008. Gold pour with white head. Yeast, grains, grass and malts. Flavor was the same, although the palate was a bit thin.
