Gooney (53), Oregon, USA Nov 5, 2009 12 oz can from John’s - This is a really tasty beer. And it comes from a can!! This sure would have come in handy on all those camping trips, although there isn’t a mountain on the can. guzzler67 (1272), Hanover, Maryland, USA Nov 3, 2009 Cloudy amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Citrus hop aroma, with grapefruit and lemon in the forefront. Resinous, citrusy hop taste, with some sweet malts buried in the background. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a dry, bitter, lingering finish. yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Nov 3, 2009 Clear golden yellow color with a small head. Aroma has some citrus hops and grapefruit. Flavor has citrus hops and more grapefruit. Draft and can, both pretty similar, not bad. Miver (547), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 29, 2009 12 oz can. Aroma of citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit, caramel malt. Tastes is fresh with grapefruit and lemony hops, caramel, light pine. Nice body and mouthfeel. Quite a nice IPA in a can. kmweaver (2395), Sebastopol, California, USA Oct 28, 2009 12oz can, out of one of their fancy new (?) brown boxes... either way, this seems very very fresh. Pours a deep, hazy copper-orange color; very light tan head, fluffy, with excellent retention, mixed-bubbled lacing; a lot of texture on the top. Huge, juicy, citrus hop aroma: not oranges or lemons, this one shows huge pineapple and grapefruit notes, lime, along with a bit of tangy citrus tartness present from the beginning; a beautiful, very lively aroma; like living in a pink grapefruit. Lively, spritzy in the mouth; plenty of effervescence without being sharp; juicy, generous orange and pink grapefruit bitterness carries things here: lightly oily, very tangy and alive, this tastes like it came straight out of the fermenter; lots of tongue-numbing hops at the front; a delightfully fresh IPA with a nicely dry core; very very impressed by this. If anything, too forward with the pink grapefruit hoppiness - it treads that line. Long-lasting finish of grapefruit, orange bitterness, with a nicely toasty end. Chipper (179), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 26, 2009 Amber pour with a moderate off-white head. Hops, citrus, and a little sweet aroma. Flavor is hops, smooth and a little malt at the end. Very good stuff in a can. keidjxz (41), Irvine, California, USA Oct 23, 2009 Heavy sweet malty aroma with a bit of hops. Huge malt flavor that even overpowers its strong bitterness. Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Oct 22, 2009 (can from bhensonb, thanks!) Pours hazy orange with a thick white head that leaves considerable lacing and retains well. Aroma of grass, a lot of pine, orange, mint, and some caramel as well. The flavor is lightly sweet, with some light orange, grapefruit, pepper, and pine showing up on the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and full, with appropriate carbonation. This is alright, but both the hops in the aroma and flavor are very restrained for an IPA. Thanks again Bill!
