| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 23, 2009 12 oz. Can. Pours a medium straw color with a thin white head. Citrus hops in the nose with a little lemon zest and a bit of soap. Taste is primarily bitter hoppiness with just enough malt floating in the background to support it. Almost has a bit of an earthy character of cut grass and day old bread. Mouthfeel is thin and somewhat oily. Finishes dry and slightly astringent. Not my favorite, but a decent canned beer to take out to concerts in the summertime. BroSpud (612), , Massachusetts, USA

Not quite in the league of a Racer 5 but still better than average. Will probably be my beer of choice when we go to the festivals this summer where no bottles are allowed. emerica56 (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA

The nose is full of fresh hops and lemon grass, and there is a bit of yeast funk that you can pick up as well. the flavor is nice and crisp and fresh with lemon and fresh hops mixed with an earthy background and carmel malt that sticks to the sides of your mouth nicely. Overall it is a great IPa with nice carbonation and excelent hop flavor. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA

pours a hazy, light orange copper color, decent half inch of off white head. sharp, crisp grapefruit and citrus bitterness on the nose, with some toasted sweetness. Flavor follows, with sharp aggressive citrus bitterness in front, dry flavors of citrus and pine; tamed bready malt flavors stick around, but stay in the background. Palate is very crisp with a light slickness, very easy drinking. Mild bitter finish. Overall, very good, crisp citrus IPA. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
