THOUGHTS: Nice IPA and great for coming from a can. Great balance. Had to pour a second glass when I was only halfway done the first because there was a black fly in my IPA. It wasn’t ironic. Not real complex, but nice. TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a light to medium golden orange with an average to large, off-white head that mostly diminished, but left excellent lacing. The aroma was nice but a little weak. There was light caramel malt, light to moderate grapefruit and orange citric hops that leaned more toward the orange side and a little orange creamsicle. Later, as it warmed there were piney hops. The initial flavor was rather sweet, bitter and a little acidic; while the finish was sweet, rather bitter and slightly acidic with an average to long duration. There was caramel, orangey hops, orange rind, a slight orange creamsicle thing too, slight metallic hops and a little grapefruity hops.

Can from State Line Liquors. Faintly hazy deep orange pour, with a fine crisp head. Slight butter note amidst an aroma that’s generally pert and citric. Body is medium, slightly slick. The flavor is initially more malty than expected but cedes quickly to grassy hops in abundance. It’s relatively one-dimensional, but a fairly flavorful and potential go-to IPA.

This is my second beer from 21st after trying the watermelon wheat and am impressed with their brewery. This IPA was very dry in the hopping but it really provided a clean and crisp palate taste and finish. Good amount of hops too for an IPA and a slight hit of citrus just enough to cut the bite.

12 oz can from John’s - This is a really tasty beer. And it comes from a can!! This sure would have come in handy on all those camping trips, although there isn’t a mountain on the can.

Cloudy amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Citrus hop aroma, with grapefruit and lemon in the forefront. Resinous, citrusy hop taste, with some sweet malts buried in the background. Medium bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel with a dry, bitter, lingering finish.

Clear golden yellow color with a small head. Aroma has some citrus hops and grapefruit. Flavor has citrus hops and more grapefruit. Draft and can, both pretty similar, not bad.

12 oz can. Aroma of citrus hops, lemon and grapefruit, caramel malt. Tastes is fresh with grapefruit and lemony hops, caramel, light pine. Nice body and mouthfeel. Quite a nice IPA in a can.

12oz can, out of one of their fancy new (?) brown boxes... either way, this seems very very fresh. Pours a deep, hazy copper-orange color; very light tan head, fluffy, with excellent retention, mixed-bubbled lacing; a lot of texture on the top. Huge, juicy, citrus hop aroma: not oranges or lemons, this one shows huge pineapple and grapefruit notes, lime, along with a bit of tangy citrus tartness present from the beginning; a beautiful, very lively aroma; like living in a pink grapefruit. Lively, spritzy in the mouth; plenty of effervescence without being sharp; juicy, generous orange and pink grapefruit bitterness carries things here: lightly oily, very tangy and alive, this tastes like it came straight out of the fermenter; lots of tongue-numbing hops at the front; a delightfully fresh IPA with a nicely dry core; very very impressed by this. If anything, too forward with the pink grapefruit hoppiness - it treads that line. Long-lasting finish of grapefruit, orange bitterness, with a nicely toasty end.
