Lightly fruity in aroma and flavor with a mild bitterness and dry finish. Seems around 5.5% rather than the 7.2% abv advertisied. Perhaps the recipe has recently changed due to the hop shortage. Only okay for an IPA. bennylava (84), California, USA

Taste starts off sweetish, but ends dry with niice but not overly bitter hop finish. I could drink a few of these quite easily. Alcohol is well hidden.

Two things: 1. This is possibly the best IPA I have ever tasted. 2. This is certainly the best canned goods I have experienced. :) What a dumbo I am, I just went to the trouble of emailing the brewer to ask who it was who brought this to the farm so I could say thanks. Then I come here to put the rate in and Ian has already made a note of it being Steve. So erm.. yeah, HUGE thanks to Steve! Thick dark golden colour with a slim but good white head, A very good looking beer. Amazing hoppage. Piney spruce, awesome grassy notes, citric bitterness and underpinned by some glorious caramel malt. The dry hoping is clear and works incredibly well. It zips up the nostrils from the very start and lingers beautifullly for the finish. No surprises here just everything done to perfection. Balance and finesse is not something I get very often from American beers in all honesty. This has both and is bloody excellent. harrisoni (6829), Ashford, Kent, England

The best beer I have ever had in a can. After a tasting of impy stouts, this was like heaven. Fresh hop aroma. Gold colour. Beautiful IPA, fresh hop all over it. Nice grapefruit. One of my favourite beers of the entire weekend. fiulijn (7400), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Very nice aroma, hops, buttery, creamy, perfumy, fruity. Good body structure, good malt and sweet caramel, very good hopping, resiny and fruity (apricots). Very good. drawde (115), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Suprisingly good. For whatever reason I was skeptical of a beer brewed within walking distance. But I’ll shut up now. Really nice grassy aroma. Very hoppy flavor with good malt and alcohol base. Only problem is--as with all bars--it’s served too damn cold and I’m too impatient to wait for it to warm. But no doubt this is a good one. Unfortunately they were out of cans so I couldn’t bring any home for comparison. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2007 This is a solid IPA. Strong hoppy aroma with just enough malt to back it up. Nice bitterness lingers on.
