The high IBU sacrifices the complex flavor that a good IPA should have. The aroma is fine, it is great to smell, but I can’t really seem to find the evidence of "assertive malt backbone" in this beer. Also I think it also seems too highly carbonated, which does not help with increasing flavor. It is a bit overly smooth. Seems like the only thing that prevents me from chugging this is the bitterness. However, the hop characters in this beer allows for some sweet taste after drinking this beer. Overall, I would say 21stA brew free or die IPA feels more like an overly hopped bud lite rather than an IPA.

bottled, medium golden with thick white head, huge grassy/citrus hop aroma with no malt/bread notes, big hop flavors from up front carrying all the way to the end with nice light body, fairly clean/crisp finish with no hop bitters on palate, true hop bomb!

Orange in color with a light copper head, with a nice lace left on the glass. It has a nice floral aroma that Is backed up with that first sip. This is well balanced with a heavy malt bill to back up the amount of hops.

This IPA had a very nice hop aroma, but was a little overboard on the bitterness which takes away from the flavor and palate of the beer. There is not a good balance between hops an malt. The beer was super fresh coming from a can though. An OK IPA for me.

12oz can @ RFD Washington DC. Pours cloudy amber in color with full foamy white head. Aroma citrus hops, hops and malt. Taste bitter citrus hops and malty with bitter finish.

Thanks to riversideAK. Big coniferous hops aroma, a bit of a floral element, too. Pours a light, hazy gold with a thick off-white head and glass-coating lace. Flavor has a floral front against a husky malt backbone, soapy hops bitterness that overpowers the aroma hops a bit. Medium body, smooth and soft on the palate.

Best beer I’ve ever had in a can, directly out of the can, unfortunately. Surprising hop aroma and taste, not too bitter. Nice.
