Sep 9, 2009 I sampled this beer on draft at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore. The beer had a straw-gold color with a hazy appearance and an average sized head with good cling and medium retention. The beer had a pine and citrus hop aroma with some grain and yeast notes too. The taste was a sour grainy effect with some bitterness too, which was less pronounced. The beer had a wet start and body, with low carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel and finish.

Sep 4, 2009 Hazy dark orange/light copper color with a fine 1/2" white head. Aroma is very floral, citrusy hop combo with a suprising amount of sweet malts in the nose. Flavor shows a nice hop/malt balance...lots of hops, lots of malts. Reminds me of Drakes IPA in some ways. Solid IPA, especially from a can.

Sep 3, 2009 12 oz can. Love that this is making its way into Washington now! Golden pour. White head. Sweet sweet candy like hop nose. Medium and fairly dry body. Lots of citrusy/grapefruit flavors swimming around most of the beer and through the finish. Very tasty malt backing on this one. Fantastic example of a great West Coast IPA!

Aug 31, 2009 Golden color with a small head. Malt bread like aroma masks the hop hit to come. Flavor is malty sweet upfront followed by a big hop kick that lasts a long time. Very good. Who says beer has to be in a keg or bottle.

Aug 31, 2009 12 oz can. crystal clear coppery medium amber. thick sudsy platinum head that really sticks around and leaves wooly sheets of lace. gorgeous. delectably floral nose of sweet pine. creamy medium body with well placed carb. toasty malts, piney sweetness on the mid palate. not a ground breaking ipa, especially given the time zone its from, but delicious, sessionable, and without troubling flaws. well done.

Aug 29, 2009 Pours a clear deep straw color with white head (from the can). Nice aroma of banana and pineapple. Flavor is slightly grassy hoppiness and a bit of the grapefruit as well. Lightly malt, enough to highlight the hops but not that much there. really nice body but a bit of astringency on the finish. Decent beer.

Aug 25, 2009 Can - Hazy gold, creamy white head. Sour pineapple and orange juice aromas ride a touch of yeast. Guava-pineapple hop flavors warm to notes of citrus and florals throughout. Where art thou malt? Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bittersweet finish. Not sure what I got here, but it does seem like a bad can. Re-rate another day I suppose...

Aug 23, 2009 Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Nice floral/citric hop aroma. Moderate hop blast in the flavor, floral and citric notes. Light sweet malt presence. Solid.
