The aroma is big bold hops of pine and grapefruit juice, sweet tangelo backed up by a malty sweetness. The taste is semi sweet tangelo, orange peel and malt sweetness. Near midway the sweet malts elbow into the flavor but eventually succumb to increasing pine and grapefruit hop bitterness.Very tasty brew.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2009 12 oz can Pours a nice copper with a thick foamy white head and some lace. Aroma is earhty, lgith citrus, pine, and coppery caramel malts, with light toast. Flavor is a bit grainy with some creamy wheat, caramel malts, toffee, and an ok citrusy lemon zest malt, piney tacky, light resin and a touch soapy. For some reason this 6 pack tastes a bit diferent than the ones I was drinking last weekend. Maybe some variation batch to batch from the contractor/? Pretty solid overall though. Worth getting if found somewhat cheap. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Hops were more dominant I aroma. Slight hint of alcohol at finish that actually helped here balance. This is one ale that shall grow on you.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2009 20090805 12oz can from Spirits RB. Nice looking beer is lightly hazed dark gold with medium-sized, sticky, white head. Aroma is mostly citrus hops, apple, pineapple, white bread. Medium bodied with coating stickiness and persistent eff. Long lingering citrus pith bitterness is very refreshing. Flavors are sweet, citrusy, orange Tang astringency. Not a standout, especially for ten beans a six pack, but still decent and cans are cool. With big abv and refreshment combo, might be a slick camping pack in.
