AllAboutStout (462), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 28, 2008 Pours a dark amber in color. A very nice four inch of head forms on the pour. Took a couple seconds to make room in the glass to finish the pour. Smell is floral hops. Taste is creamy, well balanced hops. Not very assertive, over the top hops, but well put together. This is a very malty IPA. I’ve had several canned beers and this is the first one where I swear I get a metallic hint in the beer. Very good nonetheless. riversideAK (1570), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 25, 2008 Aromas of light hoppy florals and citrus. Some sweet pale and caramel malts. Clear golden pour with a thin head. Nice smooth maltiness upfront followed by a nice bitterness profile that consists of earthy floral hops and light citrus skins. Smooth medium carbonation renders this beer nicely drinkable. Some hoppy resins linger on the palate in the form of moderate dryness. Hophead22 (146), Redlands, California, USA Aug 23, 2008 12oz. can. Dark gold color, nice white head that clings very well. Lots of piney, grassy hops in the nose. Nice hop bitterness, well balanced malts as well. Very good IPA. pepsican (708), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Aug 23, 2008 can thanks to alohac. Thanks! amber pour with a medium white had. Toffee and citrus aroma. Flavor is up front caramel and toffee with hop citrus and some earth. Bittersweet finish with a good amount of carbonation. JoeMcPhee (3692), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Aug 23, 2008 Thanks to cloudskipper for this one. Slightly hazy amber brew topped by a creamy white head. Aroma is lovely. Bright citrusy hops, light caramel and some orange peel. A light bit of pine resin. Smooth creamy palate. Sticky hops and a light caramelly sweetness. It’s still very hoppy with a light smooth bitterness Simple and tasty, well-made IPA. As it warms, it gets lightly perfumey on top of the citrus. Nice brew.
