doubleo (834), San Diego, California, USA Jun 30, 2008 On-tap at the brewpub. Pours slightly hazy orange, thin white head, some sticky lace. Smells crisp and light hoppy, floral. Tastes nice and sweet hoppy, floral. Almost fruity, with a lingering bitterness. Medium/thin body, good carbonation.
oakbluff (225), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 9, 2008 Can- pours a light golden with good clarity and nice white head. Nose- spicy citrus hops and sweet malts. Taste- citrus hops are in forefront but not overpowering. Pretty big butterscotch flavour - pretty strong diacetyl going on. Tasty enough though but the butter is a tad much. drinkability is decent, and body and carbonation spot on. Finishes clean from the bittering hops. valpoaj (298), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Oct 8, 2008 Can courtesy Taverner - thanks! Clean pour with a one finger white head. Aroma is not over the top like most IPAs, but is rather subdued, and very pleasantly so. Good mix of IPA notes in the aroma as well...pine, citrus (grapefruit) and flowery hops are all there. Flavor is also above-average...resinous hops abound with some lemony and citrus flavors as well...and there’s a decent malt backbone to keep things in order. Slightly watery on the palate, but it almost seems appropriate to have an IPA from a can a bit watery and very easy to drink. Fairly impressed by this offering...better malt backbone than is found in most ’single’ IPAs slimchill (656), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2008 Can. Musky pine-hop aroma. Clear pale gold with very active carbonation up to a stead thin head. Good lacing. Flavor is balanced citrus hops, somewhat dry, but with even bitterness throughout and good grain presence. Sharp and assertive, but not overpowering. BeerBunker (105), Burbank, Illinois, USA Sep 27, 2008 12oz can. Pours golden with an off-white head. Aroma is of bitter hops, floral notes, and slight malt. Taste was bitter, but well balanced by the malt flavor. Nice lingering bitterness. The alcohol was well masked. A tad too watery, but easily drinkable. Foolish_Mortal (948), San Diego, California, USA Sep 24, 2008 12oz can. Light orange color with a small white head. Citric metallic and pine hop aroma with ruddy earthen malt.
