Draft. Mahogony beer with a light tan head. Roasty, sweet malt aroma. Coffee, roasty, caramel flavor. Medium body. Coffee and caramel linger with light mineral notes.

Tap at Brewery. Nice schwartzbier, good favor and aroma. Great drinkibility. Not a bad beer.

On tap at 21A. Very dark brown with slight red highlights and a small beige head. Caramel and a touch of chocolate on the nose. The flavor is dominated by sweet caramel, with some dark bread-crust and a little coffee. Low bitterness and minimal hop flavors. Medium-light bodied and just a little sticky. A pretty nice and drinkable dark lager. Clean and relatively well balanced, though a touch on the sweet side.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black, minimal head. Roasty and very fruity. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. There’s yellow plums and coffee as wel as molasses. Low-medium bitterness. A bit rough and almost cardboardy.
