Tap at the brewpub. This was big and peppery/alcoholic in both nose and flavor, but as big as it is it’s not very clear, which is to say it smells and tastes like "huge IPA on the malty side." Well-crated but not very exciting.

~Pours a clear amber with white head. Good lacing. ~Strong grapefruit hop aroma with sweet malts. Smells sticky. ~Grapefruit flavor with lots of sweet malts. ~Medium feel, bitter sweet finish. ~Nice DIPA, definitely "Straight to the Face"

On tap at the brewery. This amber ale poured with a rich beige head that faded away. There is a floral aroma. The flavor starts with sweet malt and finishes with sharp hop bitterness. This is a very nice DIPA.

Draft at the brewery. This was by far the best beer I had on my recent trip to the Bay area. 5 brewery’s in 3 days, not bad! This has that wonderful citrus aroma and flavor that reminds me of hopsickle. Great texture and an all around killer DIPA.

Tasted at GABF 2008. Very hoppy with a great caramel backbone. Alcohol was up front, but still tasty.

Surprisingly good. I didn’t expect a brewpub to be making intense Double IPAs like this. Hopped to the max. Caramel-sweet in there. Does not hide the alcohol.

Tap at Bistro DIPA festival. Brilliant gold amber color with a huge foamy white head. Massive resin aroma. Flavor is really hoppy floral/resin/citrus with a lot of smooth malt backing. Much more floral than bitter. Superb.
