Tap@21st Amendment, Brewery,Restaurant and Bar. Just a nice roasted bitterness, toasty, with great balance, couldn’t ask for too much more in terms of drinkablity and flavour when it comes to a porter. Decent stuff.

Draught, 21st Amendment. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted/burnt grain, cocoa), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Overhopped and otherwise raw/crude. Poor.

GABF 2006: Clear dark chestnut color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma was dominated by coffee. Some sweetness and chocolate as well but hiding in the background. Thin roasted malt flavor. Sweet with continuation of coffee. Light body.

On tap @ 21st Amendment poured a translucent brownish black with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate and a hint of vanilla . Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee and cocoa with a lingering dry bitter finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Black in color with a brown head of big bubbles. Aroma is strong with coffee and licorice and a bit of chocolate. Body is thin, but frames the flavors nicely. An unusual absence of hops except at the very end which gives a bit of palate bitterness.
