Mar 13, 2002 Deep dark roasty all over, bit of charcoal, light bodied, nitrogenated, appreciable but not substantial hops. These are lighter, not necessarily more balanced brews and a daring move in a region full of gargantuan beers.

Jun 12, 2007 On tap @ 21st Amendment poured a translucent brownish black with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, bitter chocolate and a hint of vanilla . Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee and cocoa with a lingering dry bitter finish.

Mar 16, 2005 A well balanced session porter. Nice mild rasted malts with some mocha and nuts flavors. Exceptionally soft and round mouthfeel. Mild Burnt toast and liquorice notes. Clean finish.

May 28, 2004 Tap@21st Amendment, Brewery,Restaurant and Bar. Just a nice roasted bitterness, toasty, with great balance, couldn’t ask for too much more in terms of drinkablity and flavour when it comes to a porter. Decent stuff.

May 26, 2007 Deep roasted malt nose, dark opaque brown color, clingy biege head. Woody malt base with a roasted malt bitter. Fairly simple, but good. Like the balance on this one.

Jun 25, 2007 Smokey sausage of a porter. Dark brown, clinging head, garnet edges. Rich roasted note. Good finish with some intensity. Smooth. (on tap at brewpub)
