Jun 4, 2009 ~Pours black with ruby tints. Brown head.
~Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and malt husk in scent.
~Bitter burnt malt flavor with some sweetness.
~Medium feel, burnt bitter finish.
~Nice porter. Enjoyable.

May 24, 2009 On tap at the brewery. This dark brown ale poured with a foamy tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a thin chocolate malt flavor with a litlle coffed. A mediocre brew.

May 18, 2009 Tap at the brewery. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, roast, and chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and a somewhat hoppy finish. Seemed like more than 28 IBUs. Palate pretty standard for the style.

Apr 14, 2009 Tap at the brewpub: Deep brown/ruby hue with a tan ring of head. Mildly sweet aroma with notes of cocoa and not much roast. Light body with a bit too much carbonation (especially for a Porter). Papery flavor- some cocoa and nutty notes but it’s a bit thin and one dimensional overall.

May 23, 2008 Draft. Dark ruby-brown beer with a nice light tan head. Roasty, chocolate aroma. Coffee, roast, chocolate flavor with bitterness to back. Medium-plus body. Chocolate, roast, coffee lingering with a bit of bitterness.

Apr 21, 2008 Draft at brewpub: reddish brown color. Fairly light color even for a porter. Aroma is chocolate, PNW hops, caramel, some roast and coffee. Medium to light body, quite sweet. While the description might sound promising, the beer itself lacks refinement.
