Commercial Description:
This Belgian Golden Strong Beer is made with a Belgian yeast, lending to banana, earthy, acidic aromas. Medium bodied Trappist-style with sweet flavors and a smooth, beet sugar taste lingering to a dry finish.

On tap @ 21st Amendment poured a clear gold with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, pear, apple and light spice. Palate was light bodied crisp and dry. Flavors of carmel, light fruitiness and a hint of spice with a crisp lightly dry lightly sweet finish.

Draft @ 21st Amendment for Strong Ale Month 2008. Poured an almost clear gold color with a white head. Aroma of banana, light spice, hint of leather and sweet malt. The flavor was malty with some yeasty spices on the sweet finish. Estery middle. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Draft. Hazy golden amber beer with a nice off-white head. Light spicy aroma with some esters coming through. Spicy/fruity (summer) flavor with some backing earthiness. Medium body. Lingering spice. Expected a bit more. Bit too estery, and would like to see it slightly dryer.

Cristal-clear warm golden color with an airy slight off white head. This beer has inviting aromas of summer flowers, honey from the moutains, Kellogg’s Frosty’s, slightly caramelized malts and corriander. The taste is smooth and has a lively caracter. It has has touches of pale malts, a tiny touch of butter caramel, summer flowers, slightly sugared nuts and hints of butter-milk. In the finish there is a fine dosis of refreshing hops that gives a fine bitter accent in the afthertaste. this is a very drinkable beer with an uncomplex caracter. Thanks Joris for sharing this one with me.

Draught, 21st Amendment. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), with notes of banana, clove, alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Clumsy and insulting.

Wonderful begian beer. great spice and citrus alongside vanillacreme, pepper and clove. Like the plantains served with their famous jerk chicken a great complex banana nose. toffee ,marzipan and candy notes make for an awesome finish.

1.5 year old bottling Stupendous huge, white head; hazy peach coloured beer. Coriander nose (and lots of it), hops, bit of cookie malts. There’s coriander in it, and in copious amounts, rest is typical candi sugar dryness, with a little extra aroma, reminding me of rosehips. Very full bodied, slick MF. Why do Americans think Belgian beer = coriander?

Tap @ brewpub during the Strong Ale Month. Golden color with a laced to diminished white head. Strong spiced flavor and aroma, although I was left somewhat disapointed. Nonetheless, a quality beer.
