| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2008 This yellow beer poured from a can with a fluffy white head and a slightly acidic aroma (oops, foam in my nose). I don’t think watermelon works very well in beer - it’s sour and a bit skunky. Otherwise, not a bad light beer. yespr (12175), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 6, 2008 Can. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Mild spiced fruity aroma seems a bit off. Watermelon fruity base flavour with a light wheaty texure yet not really wheaty flavoured. Fruity lingering finish. Thin flavour and body. pepperford (115), robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 4, 2008 from the Oregon Brewers Fest. I had a bit too much rind bitterness for me. A good novelty concept. DaSilky1 (1989), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Hazed organish-yellow with a thin halo of suds atop. nose was interestingly rind-like in a unsweet watermelon kind of way. Flavors were very unique as i guess the watermelon really takes this beer to a whole other dimension. Unfortunately, i think it needed a little sweetness to balance things out as it kind of got vegital...but i like the wierdness here for the most part, and i like cans. grandridge (222), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours cloudy gold with a head that vanishes fast. Aroma is slightly sweet with wheat. I can taste the watermelon. This is a strange combination of wheat and slight sweetness. It’s not New Glarus but I don’t think it deserves only a 27. I’ve had much worse beers rated higher than this. bhensonb (4286), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2008 Can from BevMo. Hazy gold, almost peach, color with a slight white head that didn’t stick. Smells like wheat and melon rind. Ok, it does taste like watermelon. Seems a bit salty, and a little bit citric. And bready. Near medium body with mild, but sharp carbonation. Finishes up a bit wheaty, but the melon rind persists. It is rather dry. Crisp. Refreshing. Unusual. Bier brauen (214), Bremerton, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 28, 2008 On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival. Interesting, maybe on a hot day. It’s a beer I wouldn’t want to make a habit of. doubleo (1104), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2008 On-tap at 21A. Pilsner glass with a watermelon wedge. Pours cloudy, light orange/yellow with a moderate white head, some lace. Smells of bready malt and slight watermelon. Tastes bready malty with a nice mellow watermelon flavor through the middle to the finish. Medium body, crisp carbonation. Funny thing was when I ate the piece of watermelon and then drank the brew it tasted weird.
