Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. Medium orange color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is orange, malt and sweet. A medium bodied barley wine. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of orange and citrus. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Nice balance. Slightly bitter. Nice clean finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Feb 17, 2008 Draft from Toronado Barley Wine Festival. Darker amber, aroma is fairly hoppy but also has some grainy malt notes. Medium bodied, interesting idea with alcohol hidden well but my least favorite at the tasting.

Feb 14, 2008 On tap @ 21st Amendment poured a cloudy dark amber with a lasting am,ber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied smooth and dry. Flavors of carmel, toffee, biscuit and a hint of fruitiness with a smooth dry finish.

Feb 12, 2008 Draft @ 21st Amendment for Strong Ale Month 2008. Poured a hazed deep amber color with an off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with some light fruity notes. The flavor was not as sweet as the aroma made me think it would be. It finished fairly dry. Medium bodied.

Feb 10, 2008 Tasted at the brewery during strong ale month. Why am I the only person to rate this in the past year? Deep dark amber color. Frothy cask like mixed bubbe head. Home brew like yeasty aroma from under pitching/over stressing the aroma. A little of harsh bite from the alcohol and hops. Very good, but needs lots of aging.
