| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2004 Bottle conditioned, bottled on 10/05/03. Hazy Gold, good lasting white head and good condition. Good spicy grain, honey and apples in the nose with the yeast contributing an interesting tartness. In the mouth it was spicy with slight tart apple notes and a good yeastiness although it had some phenolic notes. Spicy grain and hints of plastic in the finish but not to its detriment. Reminded me of Beiaard Witte Ros that is sold in De Bekeerde Suster in Amsterdam, and brewed by a "Belgian" brewery, although not this one.

Aroma of apples. Sweet taste, cider like taste This is almost like a medium dry cider. Interesting if this is indeed the basic lambic brewed in a conventional top fermenting manner. thebeertourist (2799), Oslo, Norway

Fruity and yeasty aroma, also promising spices. Some alcohol as well. Sweet, bready flavours, hints of bananas and spices. Well-carbonated, full-bodied. An original wheat beer, wanting to a be a Belgian blond ale. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2007 A mellow, flavorful witbier with moorish qualities. Interesting history too, as it is made by Proef for 3 Fonteinen. Tim Webb claims that it is a witbier "brewed to a lambic recipe." diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2004 Slightly yellow-coloured good head, large bubbles; heavily carbonated, deep-golden beer. Musty, sourish smell, aged & wrinkled apples. There is some oxydation (beer is indeed 1.5 year old) Slight oxidation in the taste; chaff and wet, not quite mouldy malt. A very fine herbal-perfumey flavour. Just a hint of wheat, no sourness here. Slight peppery finish. Carbonation only heavy at the start, drops fast. Some burning (malt?) giving a false alcholimpression. Quite dry. The bottle was unintentionally purchased aged. As it is, it seems to benefit the beer. I was underwhelmed by an earlier fresh sample. oh6gdx (8839), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is caramel, fudge, some citrus fruit and mild spices. Also some notes of wheat and yeast are there. Flavour is citrus, wheat, some spices and toffee/fudge. Different witbier, and I quite like this one.
