Commercial Description:
Blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambic. Fermented and lagered in oak vessels. In this bottle the young yeast is brought to sleep ('ingedoesjeld') so the original lambic flavors are preserved. This beer has no head, just like lambic. The lambic is brewed with 60% barley, 40% wheat, last years hop

Golden orange in color with a very small white head. Aroma is very haylike with a slight tartness. Flavor is tart like the tart bite of a grapefruit. Dry mouthfeel.

Aroma is citrus with toasted oak predominately followed with traces of funk. poured yellow with no visible carbonation or head. Flavor is extremely refined citrus (lemon with a hint of grapefruit) and toasted oak dominate once again. bracing sourness, medium bodied. more mouthfeel than expected. excellent.

37,5 cl bottle, 23FEB06 bottled. Tastes like walking through the woods on a humid morning. Lemony, though might be a bit more sour.

375ml bottle, hazy blonde, gold, orangeish hue, with no head, yeasty, bretty, barnyard nose, with some horse blanket, leadthery, dusty, wet hairy dog accents, with a hint of fruity green apple sourness, lemon citrusy, woody aroma follows through a sour, tart medium-palate, with a nice yeasty, bretty, funky, tart, sour green apple character, with some lemon citric, rhubarb sour accents, with a wet oaky winey note, leading towards a tart, fruity, white winey tannic dryness finish.

375ml bottle 02/23/06 bottle date $9.99. The cork was oddly very difficult to remove. Once it popped a whiff of barnyard hit the air. This gueuze is very still, golden in color. Smell is subdued lemons, slightest bit of funky hay or dead grass. The taste is decently sour, citrus, the lack of carbonation makes it feel like a sour juice. I ate some Humboldt Fog and Oregonzola with this and the oregonzola surprisingly matched up better with the beer even though I prefer the fog. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-03-2008 01:23:03

Bottle. Sampled at the Woodshop Quad Tasting in January 09. Thanks to cquiroga for one kickass tasting. This stuff is the bomb! Still, golden color with no carbonation. Complex aroma of wet barnyard funk, hay, grains and musty oak wood. Flavor is packed with lemon citrus and a dry, oaked tartness. Near perfect finish that is both smooth and acidic, an awesome balance in between that really shows off traditional lambic. jarspag’s right...slap a Lost Abbey label on this and you’ve probably got a Top 50 Beer. Seriously underrated in my book.

Sampled at tronraner’s Xmas Eve^3 tasting. 2006 Vintage. Clear golden pour. The sour nose is tolerable. Tart citric flavors, like sour lemons. Admittedly, I don’t care for this style, but I could still appreciate this on some level.
